Pagėgiai wind farm
About the project
The company is developing an onshore wind farm project in Pagėgiai municipality. The project comprises 40 wind turbine generators for a total proposed installed capacity of 264MW. Pagėgiai onshore wind farm will generate about 0.8 TWh of electricity per year, equivalent to about 1/14th of the electricity consumed in Lithuania. Once implemented, the wind farm would become the largest in the Baltic States. The operations date of the onshore wind farm is estimated at 2026.
Environmental and social impacts assessment
An environmental impact assessment has been carried out for the wind farm planned in the municipality of Pagėgiai. On 2021-11-03, the Environmental Protection Agency published official decision no. (30.2)-A4E-12561 that the construction and operation of the wind farm in Pagėgiai municipality meet the requirements of environmental protection, public health, cultural heritage protection, fire safety and civil safety legislation.
